Shelley Harland ‘In The Dark’ new sound of OMEGA

Australian performer and Alberts writer Shelley Harland, has been given the opportunity most artists dream of.
Over the weekend, Shelley Harland was invited to perform her song ‘In The Dark’ at the opulent launch of Omega’s Ladymatic watches in Vienna. Invited to play before 250 international guests at the Gartenpalais Liechtenstein, her song ‘In The Dark’ has been chosen as the soundtrack to the new Ladymatic commercial which features Omega ambassador Nicole Kidman who attended the event.
Academy Award winning Australian actress Nicole Kidman attended the VIP media event and introduced Shelley, along with her husband James Harland – Wright on guitar, to perform live on stage.
The facade of Gartenpalais Liechtenstein was opulently lit with decorative projections and images from the new advertising campaign, with the setting elaborately decorated with trees suggesting an enchanted forest. The guests were charmed with cocktails, and seated dinner, and for dessert the guests selected items from an opulent dessert buffet and looked at the new watches while Shelley who wore Baylis and Knight and James serenaded them.
"It was a beautiful evening, so much imagination and creativity had gone into the night," said Shelley while in Vienna, "From being served real silver flaked croutons and divine desserts hanging from branches, to standing infront of a solid gold carriage. While ballet dancers led Nicole Kidman down the stairs to stand in front of me as I sang "In The Dark". Nicole and I had a chat and then I continued to perform the rest of my songs. As a singer, it was a dream to sing in a palace in Vienna with such amazing natural reverb. It was a magical night that I will never forget."
The photographs used in the print advertisements were taken by Peter Lindbergh, a fashion photography legend who has been described as “the poet of glamour”. Over the past thirty years his work has been published by every major international fashion magazine and is regularly commissioned for the most influential campaigns of all the leading fashion designers.
Omega conducted a live tweet during Saturday’s event with the multi-media world-wide campaign expected to begin in May.
