San Cisco, Megan Washington and Gotye named Top 30 Contenders for APRA SONG OF THE YEAR

The Australian Performing Right Association (APRA) revealed today the Top 30 contenders for APRA SONG OF THE YEAR.
Amongst the Top 30 are Alberts writers Jordi Davieson, Joshua Biondillo, Nick Gardner and Scarlett Stevens who perform as San Cisco, Wally De Backer for his works performed as Gotye and Megan Washington.
The 2012 APRA MUSIC AWARD’s are to be in Sydney on MONDAY MAY 28TH and the winner of this coveted peer voted award will be announced.
The winners in the categories of: Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year, Most Played Australian Work, Most Played Australian Work Overseas, International Work of the Year, Country Work of the Year, Blues & Roots Work of the Year, Urban Work of the Year, Dance Work of the Year and Rock Work of the Year will also be announced at the event which celebrates the achievements of Australian composers from the previous twelve months.
The recipients of the prestigious Songwriter of the Year and the Ted Albert Award for Outstanding Services to Australian
Music (as determined by the APRA Board of Writer and Publisher Directors) will also be announced at the gala industry event.
APRA members have narrowed down the list and APRA can now reveal that the 30 artists listed below are contenders to become
APRA Song of the Year.
