Megan Washington a major prize winner in ISC Competition

Congratulations goes to Alberts song writer Megan Washington for her achievement in the recent International Songwriting Competition. Megan's song, How To Tame Lions, was placed second in the Adult Alternative Album Category.
The International Songwriting Competition attracted 15,000 composers from 115 countries with a prestigious group of judges including international songwriters such as Tom Waits, Ben Folds, Ben Harper, Robert Smith and Jerry Lee Lewis.
Megan's career continues to skyrocket since signing with Alberts publishing arm, J. Albert and Son in 2008 Amongst many other things I Believe You Liar (her platinum certified debut album) debuted #3 on the ARIA Chart and #1 on the iTunes Chart. She collected ARIA awards for Best Female Artist and Best Breakthrough Artist. Megan dazzled the audience at the ARIA awards, broke records with sell out shows around the nation and performed at the iconic Guggenheim museum in New York. Internationally, Megan toured with Kaki King in the US, played sold out shows in NYC and LA and was a hit at SXSW 2011.
Megan's debut album 'I Believe You Liar' will be released in both the US (Universal Republic) and UK (Mercury UK) during the year.
