Harmony James nominated for CMAA Awards

Posted on 12 Nov 2012

The Country Music Association of Australia has announced Harmony James as one of the finalists in the 41st Annual Country Music Awards of Australia.

The 2013 nominees are an exciting mix of established artists and new faces. Acclaimed writer and performer Harmony James is nominated in the Female Artist of The Year and APRA Song of the Year categories for her song Emmylou's Guitar

Emmylou’s Guitar reached the number 1 position on the National Country Tracks Top 30 Chart and #5 on the Country Music Channel Top 50 chart. Emmylou’s Guitar is the story of a hopeful busker that Harmony confesses, is not her. Although, the observant listener can detect the similarities of her journey – a teenaged girl strapping on her guitar outside Woolworths in Cairns, a notebook of scribbled lyrics at her feet and a big sister quietly egging her on.

The 41st CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia will be staged at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre (TRECC) on Australia Day, January 26th, 2013

The CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia, held each January during the Tamworth Country Music Festival, celebrate excellence in Australian Country Music and have been a core event of the festival for over 40 years
