Bruce Springsteen covers Alberts songs
Posted on 20 Feb 2014
Bruce Springsteen on his current Australian tour opened shows with AC/DC and Easybeats’ songs.
Australian audiences in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney have been thrilled with Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band opening their shows with spectacular covers of classic Australian songs.
In Perth, audiences were treated to a tribute to Bon Scott with a performance of AC/DC “Highway To Hell”. This was the first time Bruce and his band have ever performed the AC/DC song live.
They opened their first AC/DC centric Melbourne show asking Eddie Vedder (currently in Australia touring) to join them on vocals while performing the AC/DC classic.
At Sydney’s Allphone Arena, Bruce took the Australian connection even further opening his show by ripping up a version of The Easybeats classic working class anthem ‘Friday On My Mind’ in a way only Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band can. Thrilling the audience with a rousing rendition.
