Also announced today were the winners in three ARIA ARTISAN AWARD categories and four ARIA FINE ARTS categories -the first of many artists to be acknowledged by their peers for their creative contributions over the last 12 months.

Special mention to Wally DeBacker (aka Gotye) who caps off another HUGE year with 5 nominations including ALBUM OF THE YEAR and BEST POP RELEASE for Making Mirrors, as well as nominations for BEST AUSTRALIAN LIVE ACT and BEST MALE ARTIST.

Proving that talent runs in the family, Frank De Backer picked up a gong for BEST COVER ART for his work with Wally on Making Mirrors with Francois Tetaz also collecting an award for ENGINEER OF THE YEAR for Making Mirrors.
