“Slo Light” the forthcoming debut album from Neil Davidge (Massive Attack, Halo 4 OST) will be represented by Alberts for ANZ
Alberts is delighted to be representing award winning writer / composer / producer/ musician Neil Davidge’s new album ‘Slo Light’. The album is deeply-schooled in Bristol beats, electronica, soundtracks, orchestral music and features Sandie Shaw, Cate Le Bon, Karima Francis and Alberts songwriter Emi Green.
'Slo Light' is sky-high on production value, with an unparalleled clarity and sonic depth typical of Davidge’s unique sound. It builds upon Davidge’s seminal work as co-writer and producer for Massive Attack, score composer of Halo 4, plus his collaborations with David Bowie, Snoop Dog, Damon Albarn, Primal Scream and Mos Def.
Beginning his career in the early 90s producing UK Nu Wave band DNA, Davidge played a significant role in developing the sound and style of trip-hop collective Massive Attack. He co-wrote and co-produced the band’s third album, “Mezzanine” (with the huge hit “Teardrop”) and fourth LP, “100th Window.” Davidge also co-wrote and produced the band’s fifth studio album 2010’s critically acclaimed “Heligoland,” (featured vocalists as Damon Albarn, Hope Sandoval and Martina Topley-Bird.)
In 2011, Davidge was commissioned by Microsoft to compose, arrange and produce the score to the latest edition of its blockbuster Xbox “Halo” franchise, “Halo 4.” As “Halo 4” became one of the best-selling video games of all time on release in 2012, its critically acclaimed soundtrack went on to become the highest charting video game soundtrack in history.
Davidge’s highly anticipated solo debut “Slo Light” is scheduled for released Feb 28th (Shock Records)
