Alberts songs used to launch AFL Season

The Australian Football League announced today that AC/DC’s classic ‘Long Way To the Top’ will be used as part of the game’s national advertising campaign for the 2012 Toyota Premiership Season. This is the second Alberts song used by the AFL with the Stevie Wright song ‘I’ve got the Power’ used recently in the Brisbane Lions and Greater West Sydney Giants 2012 commercials.
While this isn't the first time that AC/DC have licensed their music to a sporting code to create excitement and energy, this is the first time that the iconic rock anthem 'Long Way To The Top' with its recognisable guitar riff has been approved to be used in a national advertising campaign.
The campaign which used AC/DC’s song was shot over various locations in Australia showcasing the national reach of the sport and the passion and devotion of its fans, players and community who each weekend come together for one thing - the game. They line up with tickets in hand, bearing their colours, to champion the power of the game they love. It is this same passion and devotion that is evident in the millions of fans and musicians across the country (and globe) for the music they love.
