AC/DC THUNDERSTRUCK licensed in US feature film trailer
Posted on 26 Jul 2011
The Licensing Team at Alberts are pleased to announce that AC/DC's song "THUNDERSTRUCK" (Young/Young) has been licensed (via Carlin America) in a trailer for the feature film 'The Change Up'
"Thunderstruck" written by Young brother's Malcolm & Angus, was released in 1990 on AC/DC's The Razor's Edge album. The trailer cleverly uses the famous guitar riff performed by Angus, the football hooligan chant (Thun-Der) and Johnson's recongnizable croak and shriek "Thunderstruck'.
On the collaboration between Angus and Malcolm on Thunderstruck, Angus is quoted in The Razor's Edge liner notes, "It started off from a little trick that I had on guitar. I played it to Mal and he said, ' Oh I've got a good rhythm idea that will sit well in the back. We built the song up from that. We fiddled about with it for a few months before everything fell into place"
The comedy flick The Change-Up, stars Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman, with director David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers), writers Jon Lucas and Scott Moore (The Hangover) the additional driving force. You would expect with this amount of comedy cred, The Change-Up will be hysterically funny.
The trailer is currently being screened in cinemas now, but can be viewed online at 'The Change-Up' Official Website
'The Change-Up' opens on 5 August 2011 in the US with other territories to follow.
