AC/DC Shoot To Thrill used in the latest DirecTV blockbuster commercial

AC/DC 'Shoot To Thrill' has been used in the latest commercial for DirecTV campaign 'DirecTV Everywhere' for the US

‘Chase,’ is DirecTV’s latest commercial to promote the ‘DirecTV Everywhere’ app, an app which allows subscribers to stream shows and movies from their portable device no matter where they are . The ad was directed by Doug Liman, whose works include directing Hollywood blockbuster films such as The Bourne Identity and Mr & Mrs Smith. 

You may think at first, this clip is a typical blockbuster cop chase, but the closer and the more times you watch it, the high-speed chase is in fact cars (and a police helicopter) weaving between giant feet and pieces of trash (including a rolled-up newspaper). Eventually, the whole scene takes place on the floor of a bus — because it’s all in the mind of a passenger who’s watching a movie while travelling on a bus. Very clever indeed. 

The scenes are perfectly timed to the thrills of AC/DC’s ‘Shoot to Thrill,’ taken from the bands 1980 classic ‘Back in Black.’
