AACTA Awards - Congratulations Red Dog
Posted on 1 Feb 2012
The awards season continues with winners of the AACTA Awards announced last night at a Gala event at Sydney’s Opera House where outstanding work is recognized in the fields on Australian film, television, documentary and short productions.
Alberts would like to congratulate the film Red Dog who took home the prestigious Samsung AACTA award for Best Film. The sunburnt drama about a red Kelpie who wins the hearts of a mining community, licensed a number of Alberts songs for the film with Alberts composer Cezary Skubiszweski creating the score for the film.
The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts awards (previously named the AFI awards) were highlighted with an exceptional performance by Alberts’ songwriter Megan Washington of ‘Sentimental Education” taken from her current release Insomnia.
